Cellulite, it’s that dimple-y (sic) skin that we see as a result of consuming too much fat in our diet. There are a few things one can do to get rid of unsightly cellulite but it really will not just go away.
Cellulite is the result of consuming too much fat, plain and simple. If you have ever looked at a chicken leg you know exactly what cellulite looks like. I have written a blog post about the chicken leg and muscle. Click Here to read that now. If you really want to eliminate cellulite all together you must do 3 things:
1. Reduce the amount of fat in your diet.
2. Increase the amount of cardio in daily routine. Interval training is the most effective cardio you can do. You can also jiggle the fat on the Thera-Plex Unit.
3. And you can strength train or do isometric exercise (Tracy Anderson Method) to increase muscle tissue. By increasing muscle tissue you will smooth the tissue underneath the fat. Fat is always on top of muscle and so you will always see the fat before you see the muscle. This is the very reason why you can do thousands and thousands of crunches and still not see the abdominal muscles (aka 6-pack). Oh the 6-pack will be under there, you just have to get rid of the fat. How do you do that? Look at steps numbers 1 and 2!!
Okay so let’s say you are doing all of the above, and I sure hope you are. You will be well on your way to getting rid of the cellulite. What can you do in the meantime to get rid of the ugly cellulite? There are a few ways to camouflage it. Here they are:
**Tan in a tanning bed. While I do not recommend this as this puts you at risk for skin cancer, this does happen to be a very effective way to hide cellulite. And honestly, tanning in a tanning bed OCCASSIONALLY (once or twice a month) will not put you at a very high risk. And this is in fact very good for you. It will provide you with the “sunshine vitamin” which can be seriously lacking in winter months.
**Spray Tan.Spray tans are very effective at hiding skin imperfections, and cellulite is one of those. There are some very good spray tans in a bottle out there. And I am not talking like looking like Snooki from MTV Jersey Shore either. A light colored spray tan is very effective. This actually makes one look healthy too.
** $$Expensive Spa Treatments. While doing research for this post I found all types of celebrity treatment spas with fancy expensive treatments. And I also found (sadly) many photos of celebrities with cellulite. What does that tell me? That the only way to truly get rid of cellulite is (the hard way) through diet and exercise. However, there are some ways to help alleviate it! As I’ve mentioned here. It’s worth a try yall!! I did find the best reviews on the lotion listed below.
**Cellulite Lotions. There are many products out there which you can rub on your skin to provide relief from cellulite. While these will not eliminate cellulite all together they will get rid of it to some extent while you are working on the aforementioned steps of getting rid of it with diet and exercise
. The best lotion I have found to work on my clients you can buy right here at less than $10 per bottle.

Every one wants to stay healthy and fit throughout life to enjoy all of the wonderful things that life has to offer. Because of this there is a growing awareness and concern about how to live a healthy, and physically fit lifestyle. Reducing cellulite is a rather gradual process, depending upon the person’s heredity, eating habits, lifestyle, metabolism etc. Exercise can speed up cellulite reduction.
Take regular baths in Epsom Salt especially after a good workout because it soothes your muscles too so you reduce cellulite and you won’t be sore!
